Iridology is the study of the irises. The markings in the iris tell iridologists what is going on with the body’s organs. It tells us the constitution of the client, and generally gives an indication as to the health of the brain, skin, circulation, lymphatic system, liver, kidney, foot, legs, shoulders, colon, stomach… indeed almost every part of the human body can be seen through the lens of the iris.
Iridology was discovered in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Writings and works on iris markings and their meanings were recorded, mainly by medical practitioners . One of the earliest was Dr Ignatz von Peczely, a Hungarian Doctor.
